About us
Psychologists and psychiatrists under one roof
Alethia is a clinic with psychologists and psychiatrists in the heart of Copenhagen. We offer qualified assessment, medical treatment, and therapy for adults, all in one place, with a team that knows your full history from day one.

Our approach
The name Alethia comes from the Greek word for truth, αλήθεια. It reflects our fundamental belief: that clarity and understanding are the first steps toward a better life. We work from the premise that an accurate assessment is the foundation for meaningful treatment.
With us, assessment, diagnosis, and medical treatment are connected from the first consultation. You avoid being sent back and forth between different providers. Our psychologists and psychiatrists work closely together on each client, allowing us to adapt the treatment plan continuously.
We use internationally recognized diagnostic tools, including DIVA-5 for ADHD and ADOS-2 for autism. Our goal is always the most accurate assessment possible, so you receive the right treatment from the start.
Our team
Our team consists of licensed psychologists and two psychiatrists affiliated with the clinic in Copenhagen, all with experience from both public and private healthcare.

Markus is an authorized clinical psychologist with experience from both public and private psychiatry. As clinic director, he has overall responsibility for the clinic's assessment processes and quality. He conducts psychological assessments using recognized diagnostic tools, provides psychotherapy and psychoeducation, and works closely with the clinic's psychiatrists to ensure a coherent treatment plan for each client.

Felix Enghoff Klich

Felix is an authorized clinical psychologist with experience from private psychiatry and his own practice. He conducts both ADHD assessments using DIVA-5 and autism assessments using AAA (Adult Asperger Assessment), and emphasizes a thorough understanding of each client's life situation. Mathias Glorvigen

Mathias is an authorized clinical psychologist, and a central part of his work is ADHD and autism assessments, which he approaches with an emphasis on a thorough and reassuring process. In connection with this, he also offers psychoeducation about ADHD. He has experience from private psychiatry, including the treatment of substance abuse. In therapy, Mathias works primarily from cognitive behavioural therapy, supplemented with newer cognitive methods and a solution-focused approach.

Rasmus is a specialist in psychiatry with a PhD in functional disorders. He has many years of experience from the public healthcare system and private psychiatry. Rasmus works closely with each client to find the right medical treatment. He emphasizes thorough evaluation and ongoing dialogue, so medication is tailored to each individual's needs and daily life.

Martin Bergholtz
Psychiatrist
Senior Psychiatry Resident
Martin is a physician in the final stage of his specialist training in psychiatry. Since qualifying as a doctor in 2018, he has built extensive clinical experience across depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. In recent years, Martin has focused specifically on the medical evaluation and pharmacological treatment of ADHD and ADD in adults, ensuring that medication decisions are informed by the full clinical picture.
Private psychiatrist in Copenhagen
Alethia has two private psychiatrists affiliated with the clinic: specialist psychiatrist Rasmus Wæhrens and senior psychiatry resident Martin Bergholtz. They handle medical evaluation and treatment for both ADHD/autism pathways and broader adult psychiatric concerns.
What do our private psychiatrists treat?
Our psychiatrists handle medical evaluation and treatment within general adult psychiatry, including medication initiation, dose optimization, and ongoing psychopharmacological assessment. We do not offer acute psychiatric care.
How much does a private psychiatrist in Copenhagen cost?
The first psychiatric consultation costs 2,700 DKK and runs up to 50 minutes. It includes somatic and cardiovascular screening, medication selection, and an initiation plan. Follow-ups cost 1,200 DKK for 30 minutes and are used for effect monitoring, dose adjustment, medication changes, and broader psychiatric evaluation. You pay per session, no package. Sygeforsikring Danmark does not cover psychiatrist services, but a receipt is issued for any private insurance you may have.
How do I book a time with a private psychiatrist?
You book directly through our online booking calendar. No referral from your GP is needed. All new clients start with a clinical interview with a psychologist so the full picture is mapped before medication choice and psychiatric treatment. Consultations take place at the clinic at Fiolstræde 14 or online after the first in-person meeting. Wait times for first appointments are typically short.
