How much does a private ADHD assessment at Alethia cost?
A complete ADHD assessment typically costs 14,800 DKK and includes the clinical interview, DIVA-5 diagnostic assessment, diagnostic report, feedback session, and two medication follow-ups with a psychiatrist. Autism assessment from 9,700 DKK. Healthcare services are VAT-exempt. You can book directly without a referral, and we typically offer short wait times.
How much does a private autism assessment at Alethia cost?
An autism assessment at Alethia costs from 9,700 DKK across three sessions: clinical interview, autism-specific assessment, and feedback with a written report. With ADOS-2 observation, the total is 13,200 DKK. ADOS-2 is the internationally recognized gold standard and is recommended for complex presentations or diagnostic uncertainty.
What is the price difference between public and private assessment?
The Danish public healthcare system offers free ADHD and autism assessment, but adult wait times are typically a year and a half or more (Danish Health Authority, 2025). At Alethia, a private ADHD assessment costs around 14,800 DKK and an autism assessment from 9,700 DKK, and you can see current openings in our online booking. If you are a member of Sygeforsikring Danmark (groups 1, 2, 5, 6), 25 or younger, and have a GP referral, you may be eligible for a partial refund.

Regardless of outcome, you always receive a written report and a plan for next steps.
Can I get a refund through Sygeforsikring Danmark?
If you are a member of Sygeforsikring Danmark in groups 1, 2, 5, or 6 and are 25 or younger, you may be eligible for a refund on assessment and psychotherapy with a GP referral. Sygeforsikring Danmark does not cover medical treatment. We recommend contacting Sygeforsikring Danmark directly to confirm your specific coverage.
Why is Alethia more affordable than other private clinics?
Our practitioners each run their own independent practice rather than being salaried employees, so we don't carry the same administrative overhead as a traditional clinic. We pass that saving on to you, without cutting the time or quality you get in your assessment.

Payment and insurance
Payment options
Payment is made online at booking or after each session via invoice. We also accept cash (we do not have a cash register and cannot give change). Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the appointment; otherwise the full amount will be charged.
Sygeforsikring Danmark and reimbursement
We are registered with Sygeforsikring Danmark (group 1, 2, 5, and 6). If you are 25 or younger and have a GP referral, you may be eligible for a refund covering assessment and psychotherapy. Contact Sygeforsikring Danmark for current rates.
If you have other private health insurance, you pay us directly and apply for reimbursement with the detailed receipt we always provide.
